Life in the UK Test Revision

A practical approach to revising for the Life in the UK Test, based on how the exam is actually structured: 24 questions, drawn across five topic areas, with a 75% pass mark.

Start revising now

The most effective revision combines untimed study (to learn the material) with timed mock tests (to build exam readiness), plus targeted practice on whatever you keep getting wrong.

1. Study by chapter first

Work through each of the seven study chapters in untimed mode. See the correct answer immediately after each question, and read the explanation before moving on — this is how the material actually sticks.

2. Take timed mock tests

Once you're comfortable with the material, switch to full 45-minute mock tests. This builds the time pressure and question-navigation skills the real exam requires.

3. Target your weak areas

Every question you get wrong is tracked in your browser. Use the weak-areas practice mode to build a revision session from your own mistakes, rather than re-studying everything equally.

4. Repeat until consistent

Aim for consistent passes (18/24 or higher) across several different mock tests before sitting the official exam — one good result can be luck; several in a row is preparation.
